Tuesday Nov. 10th
After leaving work I took a walk and
called in at the Roman Catholic Chapel
Moorfileds, St. Mary's. This is one of the
largest places of worship the Catholics have
in London and is considered I beleive
as their Cathedral. Took supper at Uncle's.

Sunday Nov. 15th
Attended divine service at St. James'
Hatcham. Went up to see Uncle and spent
the evening with him.

Sunday Nov. 22
Another week has gone. Everything here
seems to be so monotonous and mechan-
ical that time seems to slide by almost
unperceived. I have as yet made no
friends either at the shop or at home
and I am yet totally a stranger.
I spent today at home; wrote a letter
home this afternoon; went to Dept-
ford Church this evening.

Thursday Nov 26
Today at dinnertime Jewell and I
went up to the river as far as the temple
