Sunday Nov 8
Being a wet miserable day I concluded
to stop at home. Went to St. Paul's
Deptford morning Service. To Zion Chapel
in the evening.

Monday Nov. 9
This has been the celebrated Lord
Mayor's Day, one of the institutions of
London. I have heard it talked
about for a very long time as being
a splendid pagent and accordingly
looked forward to see a splendid
turnout. I was very much disappointed
with it. It was a very poor procession and
certainly not creditable to a city like
London. It was a very childish set out.
Being a bright day the most beautiful
I have yet seen in England, the
streets were crowded with people
of all sorts and conditions, the
rough element seeming to proedominate.
In the evening there is a grand banquet
at Guildhall.
