at first. My aunt returned with me in the last
train down. Thomas is slightly better this
evening but his mind wanders much.

Sunday Oct. 20th
This morning I again went up to London.
Before dinner went to Cripplegate Church
Service with Uncle Thomas. After dinner
went up the river to Westminster to see
the west end. Called in at the Westminster
Abbey which was open for Divine Service,
but the service being very nearly over and
the place closed immediately after I did not
get an opportunity to give it a very
minute inspection. After tea at Uncle's
I returned home with Mr. Mullins and Mr.
[Whittall?] who came down to see Thomas.

Sunday Nov. 1st
This morning, Aunt being very desirous of
returning home to spend the day I accompanied
her to the City. Spent the day with them.
Before dinner Uncle and I took a long
walk to Shoreditch to see his daughter
