Monday Sept. 28
There was a fire this eveing in the High
St. Boro as I was returning from work
which gave me an opportunity of seeing
two of the London Steam Fire Engines.
I received a letter from home.

Sunday Oct 4th
Being a beautiful, fine morning Thomas
and I took a walk through Lewisham
and Black Heath. Saw two large guns
which were taken from the Russians and
mounted here. Wrote a letter home
this afternoon. This evening we visited
the [Trains?] at Greenwhich.

Sunday Oct 11th
Attended Divine Service at the old Greenwich
Church this morning. At home remainder of
the day.

Sunday Oct 18th
Another week has passed and gone and
nothing of any importance has occured
to break the monotony of my London
life which I think is very dull indeed.
