wears a gown. After church Thomas and
I took a walk through Deptford to see
the Kent Waterworks which supply us with
water from the Ravensbourne. Spent the remainder
of the day at home, but we attended
dinner service at the church on Black
Heath Hill, Greenwich.

Monday Sept. 21
This evening I made a call on the Cummings.
Mr. C. was not at home, saw Mrs. C. and
Mr. C's sister.

Sunday Sept. 27th
Another week passed without any thing
occuring worthy of record. Last evening
Thomas and I went to an exhibition at
the town hall Deptford. It consisted of magic,
ventriloquism, singing, and dancing but
seemed more fitted to amuse children
than grown people. Thomas and I took
a long stroll down the Southern bank
of the river Thames through Greenwich
and along the marshes below that turn.
This is about the most interesting walk
