day is merely the [?] of another
and as there has been nothing of importance
this week it does not make much difference.
I am getting along very well at the shop
and I still continue to be an object of
interest to my English fellow workmen
all of whom seem well disposed towards
me. After leaving work of an evening I
generally take a stroll through the street
before going home, which I already begin
to find is not altogether comfortable for
me; one great deprivaiton I feel is being
unable to have a time on the fiddle on
account of the young ones whom I would
probably wake up; and as there are no
opportunities of reading I find it better
to take a walk and a breath of fresh
air after the fatigues of the day.
This morning went up to London and
spent the day with my Uncle and
Aunt. My Aunt is a very little woman
in body and not much larger in mind
being very narrow minded indeed; but
is a very kind well disposed old lady
