severe cold, and suffer very much
from a sore throat and being
very cool and windy on deck I
have confined myself below pretty
much all day; although not particularly
agreeable between decks, the confined
air being very close and stifling and
a very impure smell proceeding from
the cargo which consists principally of
wheat and Indian corn. The wind

the second time and we could

received today compared to those
given us last week, being very much
inferior in every respect. The few
provisions I brought with me are
all gone and all I have to depend
upon now till the end of the voyage
