A philosopher as he understands it is a man who is in love with truisms. Of course he holds that philosophers alone are fit to be the defenders of the state. They are lovers of truth. And not contenually to give to wake and his own notions true like Plato. He will not care for carnal pleasures. There is ont meanness in him.
