of the Board be authorized and directed to leave
all of the original leases of the Ohio University now
in the Treasurers Office [?bound?] and indexed in suitable
books or Volumes,and that said [illegible] be paid for
when the same is completed,and that said
Committee have full power and authority to
Act in the [?premises?], which motion was duly
Seconded and unanimously adopted by the Board.

Ellis be elected a member of the Building
Committee of the new Library Building which
motion was duly seconded and adopted
[inserted] Brick Walk [end inserted] Mr Welch moved that the Committee on
College Campus and Buildings be instructed to put in
a brick walk from the west wing along the line
of the [?one?] pavement to the steps to the steps in the west [?line?] of the
campus at President Street which motion was
duly seconded and unanimously adopted
[inserted] Furnishing
a list of
Committees [end inserted] Mr Wood moved that
the Secretary be requested to furnish a list of the
Committees of this Board to each of its members
which motion was duly seconded and unanimously
adopted.
[inserted] O.U. Statutes. [end inserted] Mr Lowrey suggested that the president purchase
a new set of Ohio Statutes for the use of this Board
as a part of the University Library.
[inserted] "opening of
Bids on
Library
Building" [end inserted] Mr Foster
moved that we proceed to open the bids [crossed out] received [end crossed out]
received for the erection and construction of the new
Library Building, which motion was duly seconded
and adopted, and thereupon said bids were opened by the
Secretary and read to the Board the persons bidding upon
said work and the amounts bid for by each being as follows
to wit:
