Aug . 1903 [end inserted] An adjourned meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Ohio
University was held at its Office in Ewing Hall
this day at the hour above names, due and legal
notice in writing having been given by the Secretary
to all of the membrs of the Board of the time and
place of this meeting.
The meeting was called to order by President Ellis.
A call of the roll was had, and the following members
of the Board answered to their names [?viz?]: President
Alston. Ellis - V.C. Lowrey- L M Jewett. C.C. Davidson
A Lene- L.J. Fenton- E.J.Jones - J.M Welch. J.P.
Wood- H.W. Coultrap I.M. Foster, and Henry O'Bleness,
and, being a legal quorum of said Board, nine members
thereof constituting a quorum under the laws of
Ohio (See Land Laws of Ohio, page 235 or Legal History
of the Ohio University page 51.).

Certificates [end inserted] Mr. Jewett moved
that we proceed to open the bids received and
on file for the salw of the $10.000.00 Ohio University
Certificates offered for sale this day, which motion
was duly seconded and unanimously adopted,
and thereupon the said bids were opened by the Board
the following bids being made therefor to wit:
The Bank of Athens, Athens Ohio $10.385.00
The Security Savings Bank Athens Ohio. $10.156.00
[?Seasongood?] + Mayer Cincinnati Ohio $10.500.00
W.R. Todd + Co New York City $10.100.00
Feder Holzman + Co. $10. 400.00

On motion duely seconded and adopted, the bids of
Seasangood + Mayer - W. R. Todd + Co and Feder Holzman
+ Co, were excluded rejected and not accepted, the Board
finding that said three bids last above named do not
comply with the terms of sale as set forth in the printed notices
published in the Cincinnati Commercial Tribune, .The
