Education as to carring on the training school in the
Normal Department,and that a Committee should be
appointed for that purpose.
On motion of Mr Jewett,duly
seconded and adopted, a Committee of three consisting
of the President, and Messrs Foster + Jones was appointed by
the Chair to confer with the Board of Education of Athens
Ohio, upon the subject named by the President
Mr Jewett offered the following
resolution to wit; -

as to Dr Ellis ~
"Resolved , that we hereby tender
our thanks to President [inserted] Alston [end inserted] Ellis of this Board for the able, efficient
and prompt in which he has discharged his duties
as its presiding officer during the present session of this
Board" , and moved its adoption which motion was
duly seconded ,and unanimously adopted by the
Board

Treas office
OU [end inserted] On motion of L. M.Jewett duly seconded and
adopted the sum of $342.3 was appropriated for
repairs of The Treasurers Office of the O. U to be
paid to the several parties en titled thereto as per
statement now on file with the Secretay -
[inserted] Bond of
Auditor [end inserted] On motion duly seconded and adopted the bond of L. M Jewett
as Auditor of the O.U.and the surety thereto was [?approved?]
and said bond was accepted and filed.
