Referred [end inserted] seconded and adopted, the annual reports of the Treasurer
and Auditor of the Ohio University were referred to a
Committee consisting of Messrs Fenton, Davidson and
Hamblin.
[inserted] Bill of
W.P. Collier [end inserted] A bill of W. P Collier was presented to the Board for the
sum of 80$ for services as a teacher of Athletics , on motion
of Mr Davidson , duly seconded and adopted , the sum of
$50.00 was allowed to Mr. Collier for his said services,
and to be accepted by him in full payment and
compromise of his said claim against the Ohio University
Mr Bundy offered the following resolution to wit:

that the President be authorized to expend not
more than $225.00 for incidentals in any single
emergency without the action of the Finance Committee
or the Board of Trustees", and moved its adoption, which
motion was duly seconded and adopted by the
Board.

Committee [end inserted] Mr Foster moved that a Finance Committee
consisting of three members of which the President
shall be one , be appointed for the ensuing year,
which motion was duly seconded and adopted
and thereupon the President and Messrs. Foster and
Biddle were appointed as such Committee.
[inserted] Election
of Auditor
and Secretary [end inserted] Mr Bundy moved that we proceed to the election
of an Auditor and Secretary of this Board for the ensuing
year, which motion was duly seconded and adopted
, and L.M.Jewett was nominated for the position ,and
there being no other nominations, on motion of Mr
Bundy duly seconded and adopted Mr Hamblin was
directed to cast the unanimous ballot of this Board
for L.M.Jewett as and Auditor and Secretary of the Ohio University
for the ensuing year at a salary of Four hundred
dollars ($400.) ,and thereupon Mr Hamblin cast the
unanimous ballot of this Board for L.MJewett as Auditor
and Secretary of this Board.
Mr Bundy moved that we
proceed to the election of a Treasurer of the Ohio University
