Y.W.CA [end inserted] A request was made by the joint Committee from the
YM.C.A and Y.W.CA. for the Board to appropriate to
each organization the sum of ($40.00) forty dollars for the
purpose of sending delegates to the summer conference
at Lake Geneva. Wis. On motion of Mr Lene duly seconded
and adopted this subject was laid upon the table
[inserted] Resignation
of Prof
Carrie A
Cowden [end inserted] The President presented to the Board
the resignation Miss. Carrie. A. Cowden of the
position of Crittic teacher in the training department
of the Normal School, and on motion duly seconded
and adopted said resignation was accepted.
Mr Jewett offered the following
resolution to wit:

Certificates [end inserted] "Whereas the act of the General
Assembly of the State of Ohio of April 3. 1900, ( 94-O-L
P-94) authorized the Board of Trustees of the Ohio
University from time to time to issue certificates
of indebtedness in an amount not exceeding
Fifty Five Thousand Dollars ($55.000.00) in anticipation of the
annual levies authorized by Section 3951- of the Revised
statutes of Ohio, as amended March 28th 1891-(88-
O-L- P- 159) and as further amended February 26th
1896 ( 92.O.L.P.40) ,and further provided that the
whole amount of said certificates of said indebtedness
shall be paid by said Board out of the proceeds of such
levies on or before[crossed out] December on or before [end crossed out] December
31st 1916.
And Whereas, it is necessary in order to
redeem and pay off said certificates falling due
on September 1st 1903, amounting to the sum of Ten
Thousand Dollars ($10.000.00) and to issue and sell
at not less than the par value thereof under the
authority conferred by the Act of April 3. 1900 Five
Thousand dollars ($5.000.00) of the Ohio University Certificates
to become due on the first day of September 1912,and Five Thousand
dollars ($5.000.00) of said Ohio University Certificates to become
due [crossed out] on the [end crossed out] on the first day of September 1913
Now therefore be it Resolved by the
