according to the plans and specifications prepared by said Architect,
and placed on file with the Auditor of State. The contracts
were then prepared by said Architect ,and signed by Alston.Ellis
President of the Ohio University, [inserted] and [end inserted] L.M. Jewett, as Secretary
of the Ohio University ,and the Corporate seal of said Ohio
University attached thereto and signed by the following trustees
of said Ohio University to wit: Alston.Ellis.L.M Jewett
Henry.O'Bleness. Adolph.Lene-J.E Benson- William.
E Bundy. J.P Wood. E.J Jones and I.M.Foster being
a quorum of the members of said Board of Trustees of the
Ohio University , in accordance with the resolution
avoce mentioned, the [?President?] and the Architect was
instructed to take all proposals and proof of publication
to the Attorney General for his examination and if found
regular,and in accordance with the Statutes to be
approved by him and placed on file with the Auditor of
State.

[?+c?] [end inserted] Mr Bundy offered the following resolutions
"Resolved that the Auditor of the Ohio University be and
he is hereby authorized to borrow money from the
First National Bank of Athens, Ohio, with interest at
five per cent due March-1st 1903 from time to time to
pay the teachers salaries of the Normal College as they
become due each month, and for the payment of
such current expenses of said Normal College as may be
incurred between now and said March 1st 1903, said
accounts of said current expenses to be first approved
by the Finance Committee of the Ohio University.
Be it further resolved that the action of said Auditor
in drawing order to pay the salaries of said teachers
of said Normal College for the month of September
1902 be and the same is hereby ratified approved
and confirmed" and moved their adoption, which
motion was duly seconded , and the years and
nays being demanded , a call of the roll was had
resulting in the following vote: Yeas-Ellis-Jewett-Lene-Benson,
Jones, Welch, Bundy, Wood, Foster and O'Bleness yeas-10
