seconded and unanimously adopted.
And thereupon the Board
adjourned to be reconvened subject to the call of the President.

The Board of Trustees of the Ohio University met in
called Session this day ,at the hour, and at its office
above named at Athens Ohio, with the following members
present as shown by a call of the roll. Alston President
L.M.Jewett Secretary, A. Lene, J. E. Benson - E.J.Jones
J.M Welch - W. E. Bundy - J.P.Wood - I.M Foster
and Henry. O'Bleness, being more than a quorum
of said board, nine member thereof constituting a quorum
under the statutes of Ohio-
Notice of said called meeting hand been given in writing
by the Secretary to all of the members of said Board, that
said Board was called for the transaction of such business
as might come before it, and for the purpose of receiving sealed
proposals for the labor and material for the said new Normal
School building of the Ohio University, and in accordance
with the advertisement published for four consecutive weeks
preceeding this date in the Cincinnati Commercial Tribune.
The Ohio State Journal, Cleveland Leader, Toledo Times, The
Athens Messenger and Herald, The Athens County Gazette a copy
of said advertisement is as follows to wit:
