An adjourned meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Ohio
University was held at its Office in the Auditorium
Building at Athens, Ohio, this day, and at the hour
above named, pursuant to written notice given by the
Secretary to all of its members. President Ellis in the
Chair.
A call of the roll showed the following members
present: Pres Alston. Ellis. Secretary L.M Jewett. C.C Davidson. A. Lene
L.J Fenton. J.E. Benson. E.J Jones. J.M Welch J.P. Wood-
H.W. Coultrap T.R. Biddle and Henry. O'Bleness, and being
more than a legal quorum of said Board.
Mr Jewett moved that we proceed to open the bids made
for the Ohio University [inserted] certificates [end inserted] to be sold this day,and award the same
to the hightest legal bidder, which motion was duly seconded,
and the yeas and nays being demanded, the roll was called
resulting in the following vote to wit: Yeas Ellis. Jewett, Davidson
Lene, Fenton, Benson, Jones, Welch, Wood, Coultrap, Biddle
and O'Bleness, nays none And thereupon the Chair declared
that said motion had been duly adopted by a legal quorum of
this Board
[inserted] O.U. Certificates [end inserted] The Board proceeded thereupon to open such bids so received,
and having [?cavassed?] the same ,it finds and determines that the
Cincinnati Trust Company, of Cincinnati Ohio, has made
the highest and best bid for the $10.000.00 of Ohio University
Certificates maturing at the times following to wit: $5.000.00
September. 1st 1910, and $5.000.00 Sept-1st 1911 -
And the said Cincinnati Trust Company having paid
therefor the sum of $10.955.00 the amount of its said bid, was
declared to be the highest legal bidder at said sale.
And thereupon Mr Jewett moved that the said
Cincinnati Trust Company be declared to be the highest
and best bidder at said saled,which motion was duly seconded,
and a call of the roll being demanded resulted in the
following vote [crossed out] s [end crossed out] to wit: Yeas, Ellis, Jewett, Davidson, Lene, Fenton
