the Faculty have been of the most pleasant character.
I may here may frank confession thta I have no desire to
hold my present position one day beyond the time when
I cease to have the Confidence and respect of the members of
this Board, the Faculty of the University, or the larger number
of the Student body.
The part of College administration that has given the Faculty
more worry than all others combined is that of College

Athletics." Put the right person in the position and he,
with hearty support given him by the Faculty, will have the
best possible conditions about him for satisfactory work.
I am
desirous of seeing our educational work strengthened and
extended wherever possible. "The College of Music" is in better
