I desire to express my high appreciation of the
maner in which the Finance Committee has
disposed of the current business of the University during
the past year - This committee meets upon the
first monday of each month , and the current
bills are by it examined , and if approved are
turned over to the undersigned as Auditor. The
claimants in this way are able to get a speedy
settlement of their claims. The excellent results
flowing from the passage by the General Assembly
by what is known as the Refunder Bill has enabled
the financial department of the University to
promptly meet all of the engagements of the college.
In order to properly equip the University in its
various deparments out income will be needed
until 1906 for that purpose.
Commencing with 1906 we can easily pay off
the outstanding certificates of indebtedness at the rate
of $5.000.00 per year- Between now and 1906 we
shouldas we have done in the past,
issue each year, in accordance with the Refunder
Act, certificates of indebtedness to meet the installments
of certificates of indebtedness of $10.000.00 each that
will fall due respectively upon the first days of
September in the years 1901-1902-1903 - 1904-1905-
Respectfully Submitted
