taken by the Board before its adjournment.
Major Welch moved that the Finance Committee
be directed and authorized to purchase a carpet
for the stage of the Auditorium Building, a proper number
of suitable chairs, table, and such other furnishings for
the Auditorium Hall as in their judgment may be
necessary, and to purchase such other furnishings as
may be needed in the recitation rooms of said building,
which motion was duly Seconded and adopted.

of repairs [end inserted] Mr Bundy moved that the Finance Committee
be instructed and directed to make an estimate of
necessary repairs to be made upon the college administration
building and report such estimate with plans and
specifications to the next meeting of this Board for its
consideration, which motion was duly Seconded
and adopted.
[inserted] Associate
Prof of Latin [end inserted] Mr Jewett moved that Miss Grace Reah be elected
an Associate Professor of Latin for the ensuing year at
a salary of $500.00 per year which motion was duly
seconded. Mr Foster moved that this motion be postponed
which motion was duly seconded and adopted
[inserted] Election
of
Prof Tausch [end inserted] Mr Foster nominated Edwin Tausch as Professor of
Philosophy and Assistant in Latin at a salary of $1.000.00
per year, and there being no other nominations for the
position a ballot was taken resulting in elven votes for Edwin.
Tausch, and nay votes four, and thereupon the Chair
declared that Prof. Edwin [inserted] a [end inserted] Tausch had been duly
elected as Professor of Philosophy and Assistant in Latin
of the Ohio University for the ensuing year at a salary of
$1.000. per year.
[inserted] Motion to
reconsider
election of
Miss. Cranz [end inserted] Mr Bundy moved that we reconsider the vote
by which Miss. Kate. Cranz was elected upon yesterday,
which motion was duly seconded. Mr Wood objected
