[Tuesday, March 1955]
More of the same as yesterday with
another trip to Dr. who said my
cords were white and that he
believed I could sing but did not
have the courage. This I immediately
put straight, whereupon I was asked
to count to twenty then he announc
ed "You are hoarse. Don't talk and don't
stay in a room that is smoky."

Rehearsal with chorus, Alto Rhap-
sody, then Mon Coeur. very strenuous
and not wise what I'm doing.

After rehearsal Miss Wilkinson took
me to Dr Markowise and after an ex-
amination he found that there was
conjestion in the trachea. He sug-
gested inhalations by electricity of strep
tomicin and penicillin and for wed-
nesday morning a 10 o'clock ap-
pointment was made.
