[Thursday, September 13, 1951]

Up at a good time made
breakfast. Freibe cleaned
up afterwards, and at 12:45
we left here to pick up
Mrs Nussbaum and proceeded
to the Vogels at Hawthorne
Terrace. They are charming
people from Checi Slovakia.
We ate luncheon there, looked
at the houses (Swiss Chalet type)
they are putting up. We
spent the whole afternoon
with them.
Dinner at home at 8
and I retired at 1 after
talking a long time to
Pauline and then fixing
up the bathroom for
Eric to sleep in.

Started coughing as
soon as my head touched
the pillow
