[Tuesday, April 10, 1951]

Up at 9:20 bird bath, Freibe cooked
breakfast. I was quite tired be-
cause I did not sleep during
the night.
After breakfast I cleaned up and
made beds. While, Freibe put down
padding and carpet in the hall.
I phoned Alyse, Engel, Loisel and
Franz, dressed quickly and went
in town to Schirmers 1.43 then
to R.C.A. for recording session from
2 to 5 there 15 min early. cabs 3.00, 2 coffees .10
Recorded Hark the herald Angels sing
Cantique de Noel, Angels song and
Halleluia. Freibe picked me up
at 5:10 and we drove home and had
dinner at 7:15 + and very very good.
After dinner, called Mr Crawford
Alyse, Annie and Pauline. Signed Cal. Tay
paper check 37.21 and N.Y. State 349.30
Toll .20 ["cabs" crossed out]
Retired at 12:15 and still awake at 1
when Pres. Truman made statement of
the MacArthuer dismissal.
