[Tuesday 13 February 1951]

Up at 8:45 bathed, washed night
gown, dressed, had breakfast
fixed my nails. Jofe came in
and the luncheon will be here
in the hotel at 1 and the en-
gagement at the Legislature at
3 o' clock for about 15 or 20 minutes
Luncheon with Premier Douglas and
party (12 in all) in hotel. At 2:30 short inter-
view with Miss Peachie. The introduc-
tion to the assembly was made by
the Premier and in my speech I
was so nervous. We peeked in at
the library then went to the Church
(Metropolitan Methodist) for rehearsal.
Had soup about at hotel, concert
not at all bad, church jammed
We went afterwards to the apt. home
of Dr + Mrs Graves and we had
a delicious supper after which we
walked the 2 blocks back to the
hotel. 2 degrees below. Crisp + beautiful at 12:45 A.M.
I retired about 2:30
