when they have made them into Bam Iron will not command Cash

The foregoing is Copy [per] Vessell of John Erving
Jun[ior] Esq[uire] . _ I rec[d] your fav[our] of 27th Jan[uary] last with Copy of 23d Octo[ber] 1765
inclosing a Letter to Dr. Gardiner ope [per] Capt. Crowninshield who as all
other concerned in the Trade to pay all Since the late incumberances thereon
I suppose to save the duties having kept their Voyages at Secret has prevented
my writing to you as you had reason to expect I should, I was not per_
mitted to know what Vessell the Originals of the Foregoing Copy was to go
by was only told I have an Opportunity of writing but must not know
by whom where from which till this Morning I was ignorant of a few Days
agoe Mr. Erving told me he address'd a Vessell to you & was sorry he had not
acquainted me with it before she sail'd which I take to be words of course only
as I am fully inform'd since he xxxxxx determined it should not be known
to any one_ I delivered your Letter to Doctor Gardiner after perusing & sealing
he told me he should not pay your Demand till the Bill is presented, it will
answer no End to have recourse to the Law without it and your Acc[ount] regu
lary authenticated, saus he will write you the first Opportunity have acquain
ted him with this. the last Letter I rec[d] from you before the above was dated 28 Dec. 1764
perhaps the Letter you mention was on board Capt. Harrison who was taken up
is distress after he had been ap[??t] 90 Dyas & Carried into England, as I know
nothing of the Value or Circumstances of the cabler and anchor Capt. Howel had of
you can't do any Thing with him at present. I am offer'd Fayal Wines
to pick by the Wine Coopers here at second [part'd] for £9 Ster[ling] [per] Pipe. if here should
be any opening for them I'll advise you. Mr. Nelson is expected this
Summer when shall be able to let you know what is like to be one abo[ut] Trails Order
when I am in Cash for you Acc[ount] if I can find Opportunity will remit you
as you directed. I am wishing I may have it in my Power to bring your affairs the Concern
