[y a?] Letter from Mr. Fitch to his Wife we are informd of your
having been at Long Island & that the Family are all well except Brother Joseph
who am sorry to find remains in the same State as you represented him, & fear will
not soon be better. Mr. Anthony is very Earnest to have the Station & is desire-
ous of his being put into the best order; there is no doubt with me of his having
a good deal of Custom. the principal Station design'd for mares here is Sold
at Carolina, & another year Mr. Temples & Mr. Hutchinsons will interfere
by return of this post please let me know whether he is to come, or not, your
Sons are, as also the rest of this Family, who joyn me in the tender of best
regards to you &c. Your Affectionate Brother

I duly rec.d your fav.r of 9th Curr.tt via Rhode Island P Capt.
Anthony & note your not having an opportunity prevented your
Shipping the Flour I orderd. if not purchas'd when you receive this, please to
pay out of the money you rec.d for Pott Ash & Oil for my Acco.tt of Mess.rs Thomas
Wallace & Co. to Mr. David Beveridge, if he has not already rec.d my order on
Mess.rs Robinson & Reynolds for that Sum £9.14.4 1/2 Phil.a Curr:y, & £33.5.9
like money to your good Brother Mr. Thomas Smith, being the neat pro-
ceeds of the Bill he forwarded me on Mess.rs James Russell & Thomas Lothrop & Co.
of Plymouth, & instead of Flour, let the remainder be vested in Good Cocoa if
not higher then £6.5/ your Curr:y, & in Case it is not to be had at that, then in
good Green Coffee at 10d. to 11d. like Curr:y provided an opportunity offers in a
fortnight or 3 weeks, after rec.t of this, otherwise Ship the Ballance in Flour
please to forward Rec.ts for the money you pay, by some safe Private hand.
youl oblige me by informing your Brother in Law Mr. Thomas Smith &
Capt. Wm. Richards, I can now Supply them with a few Quintalls of the
very best Isle Shoal Winter Dum Fish, & have a Quintal or two in reserve for you
also if you incline to have any. I am Your hum.l Serv.t
PS: in your next please to advise whether the
Fish be wanted, as by sparing it here I should gratify
my friends, it Cost a Guinea P Quintal, & was bbt.
with a vein to oblige my friends abroad that might
want it
