Mr. Matthew Cozzens

I duly rec'd your favr. of 10th Currtt. & note that your Sloop
with 70 Tons of Loggwood was to Sail in 3 or 4 days to my Address, the Wood was
designd for Messrs. Green & Boylston, they will give but £5 Sterling for it & say
they cant obligate themselves to pay for it in less then 3 months, but will
do it as they collect money which doubt not will be sooner. when I wrote you
about it I had not the least mistrust but they would pay for it on delivery
being for a Remittance to Urope & they never before askt any Credit, nor
did they hint they should expect any, on that presumption I wrote you
I cou'd procure the Cash for it. I am heartily sorry if it be any disappointment
to you, & hope youl Receive this before the Sailing of your Vessel
either to prevent her coming or that you may dispose of to Mr Mason if their
Terms do not suit, I am

Your huml. Servant
