Maryland corn has lately taken a start to 22/6
per quantity out of vessels & 24/ out of the stores & like to be a rising
article till the new crop comes in. Rye 25/ to 26/3 will hold till harvest.
Wheat 30/ to 32/6, flour £4.17.6 to £5, barr Iron £180, pigg d’o of the best
sort £67.10/, ordinary will not sell, ship bread might felch £4.10/ to £5.
White beans 30/, grean wax 5/, bees wax 10/. Maryland Pork £18 to £20 [???]
d’o. beef £14 to £15. These prices are in old tenor at 45 per dollar or
6/ for 1/ of your curr’y. Exchange with London 10 to 10/8 for 1. I am

The foregoing is copy per Capt. Ford, am now to
advice you that Maryland Corn is lately risen from 2/3 to which it had fallon to
half a dollar per Bush, & likely to be still rising till the new crop, Rye 3/4 to
3/6 & will continue in demand till harvest. Virginia Pork falled with corn
220.10 in a bbl 48/ to 50/. Beef 37/4 to 40/, Wheat 4/4. Oates 2/.
Flour 13/ to 13/4. Ship bread about 12/ to 13/, White bread 4/, bayberry wax 8,
bees wax 1/4, beef tallow 6’d a 6’d/2. Exchange with London 33/3 @ 25 pct. I am
