I duly rec'd your fav'r of 29th ult'o note the offer for
the nails will not do. I wrote you fully per last post concerning a clerke
to which refer & expect your answer next Saturday, Bohea Tea is sold
now at 39/ to 40/ old tenor on the decline, but believe you may depend on
its selling at 2 or 3 months cr. for 37 1/6 which is 5/ lmo. or 6 1/8 York
money subject to an impost duty to the government of 4 lmo for each
lb of tea. I am

who was the person that offerd 6’d per foot for your mohogony is gone to
Providence & possibly he may be at Newport before his return, if so youl
have opportunity of treating with him about it, otherwise will let him
know your terms. Have not yet been able to make the insurance you
order on sloop Molly, Mr. Savage says it may be done at 4 pct. if
youl warrent her in time, I will use my endeavours to effect it, if to be
done at 5 pct. or under without warrenting her. I am

refer, having none of your fav'r unanswerd have only to inclose you invoice &
bill lading of 12 live falt bullocks & 4 bbs suel per sloop Rainbow
James Ford master amounting to £162.6.10 lawful money which have
charg'd to your agent victualling acco'tt, also you have inclos'd James Fords
bill lading for 13 boxes lemons amounting as at foot
to £28.1.1 1/2 lawful money which have charg'd to your particular acco'tt
these are the first lemons I have met with since rec't of your orders
for purchasing, that would do to ship, there is no oysters that will do to
ship & if there was I think it too late to send any, I am
