Status: Needs Review

Park Name: (Select Park Name)

Comments: : Not a park, but the site of the present day Rise Learning Center. "V" shaped building on the left is the James Whitcomb Riley Alternative School. Identified the area by recognizing the I-465 interchange with US 31 in the distance. Madison is in the foreground. The ball fields appear to be associated with the two schools.

Additional Information: Brick structure in the bottom left corner is the now demolished Edgewood School (1915 Sanborn)

Pre 1979 - Per records from the Southsider Voice (local newspaper), the old Edgewood School was demolished in 1979. The 1979 MapIndy (Indianapolis GIS) aerial also is the first to show RISE in its present location.
