boat at East Cape, and the next
morning when they awakened
they found the wind had taken
it over-board, but he said they
were not worried because they
were going to buy one from
the Captain of the boat which
they were on. Why they had no
skin boat perhaps none of us
will ever know. But I feel
confident they had one in the
beginning for Fred gave me
an account of everything they
did from the time he left me
until they reached the Island.

We were married on Thursday
August 11th, 1921, in Missoula Mont.
You remember at Mrs. Clapp's
home. It was a beautiful
beginning with a tragic ending,
it seems to me I am just now
beginning to realize what has
happened.
