Just had wire from Chicago.
Yesterday found a place for Ada
at Beach after a long search
- One woman told me they
would take no "foreigners" in
apartment - so went to a hotel
best I could do was to get a rate
at $9 a week for a room -

She was rather anxious
to try the beach - and Bennett
crazy about it - I asked her if
she could eat on $1 a day and
she thought she could - so I
paid a weeks rent and gave her

ten dollars, and came in town
'packed her up and put her
on the car for the beach so I guess
she is alright

She had been to the beach
several times by herself - said
she gets around very well.
She is at the St Marks Hotel
Venice at present.

Mrs Allens mother Mrs
[Mitchell] lives quite close,
so I suppose it will be safe
for her. The proprietor of
the hotel said his wife would
