I have repaid Orville Wright one thousa[...]
of his three thousand personal loan to me.

It seems to me one question for us is what
order our obligations should be paid in. I do
not feel the Crawfords should be preferred in this
respects to the relatives of the other boys -
especially as they seem to take a keener interest
in Allan's wages than they do in giving him
a chance to rank in Canadian history
according to his intentions and achievements.
If they are in any way behind the Varsity
editorial they must have a sadistic
desire to rob their son of some of his
deserved and dearly bought honour so
they may have the luxury of a more
unbearable grief - a form of half-insani[...]
not very rare, I believe.
