Dear Stefansson:-

Thank you for your favor of the 11th. We received
wire from Lebourdais concerning NOICE. Our Ray Andrews met him
at the Fry Hotel, Seattle, upon his arrival there and has wired
report. I am expecting to hear from Noice, who I understand is
now in New York City. Don’t know whether we will make any arrange-
ments. I am not sure that people are very much interested in the
story he has. There has been a good deal of criticism here in the
newspapers about you and it occurs to me that the leas said about
Noice's expedition perhaps the better. I may be wrong in this, but
that's my first reaction to it. Of course I know there is an answer
to all the newspapers say, but people don't hear the answer and the
newspapers have the best of it because they can talk to people
every day if they want to and you can’t.
