Dear Noice:

There seem to be misunderstandings between you and
Pickering as well as between him and me and you and me. These will
do none of us any good and will do all of us much harm. We have
agreed (Pickering and I) that the matter will be in the hands of
lawyers and law courts at noon on Monday if we can't all agree sooner.
I have had too much experience already of quarrels where all
parties lost and none gain. Let's get together and seeit does
not happen now. Come to see me at this Club. I shall be work-
ing at the Geographical this (Sunday) afternoon.

I have telephoned you often but never got a reply

Have you told Miss Allison the whole story and
secured her advice? I think you should, for if you are married the
consequences of what now happens will affect her also.

I was expecting you to bring over the diaries, as
you said you would. Have they miscarried?

(Signed) V. Stefansson.

Mr. Harold Noice
Waldorf-Astoria Hotel,
New York.
