Mr. A. J. T. Taylor,
Bank of Hamilton Building,
Toronto, Ontario.

Dear Mr. Taylor:

This is Thursday, the 26th, and still no
word. My only hope is that the money or some word has been
sent to you direct, but I can hardly believe that that has
happened.

As you have seen by tbe copies I have sent you,
I have been cabling Mr. Stefansson almost daily so that he would
be fully informed of all that has been done. After getting your
letter this morning I sent a fast cablegramaas per the enclosed
copy. I hate to bother Mr. Stefansson, for I know he must be as
worried as we are, but the time is getting so terribly short.

I have just received from Mr. Stefansson a copy of
a letter that he wrote to Mr. Mackenzie King July 10th, and I
enclose a copy of it for your information. Perhaps he is waiting
for the Cabinet meeting of which he speaks.

I sincerely hope that before this reaches you we
may have the money and that things may be under way.

Yours sincerely,

Secretary to Mr. Stefansson.
