Dear Mrs. Wilcox: -

This is Tuesday, the 24th, and I have
not received any word or any money from Mr. Stefansson.
There only remains six days to the 1st of August when
the expedition must start from Nome, and the money must
be deposited at Nome before the boat will be allowed to
leave.

Can you do something to hurry action on
Mr. Stefansson's part, or at least have him send us
word as to when we may expect the money? Our anxiety
on this point increases from day to day, and the time
in which to do anything is fast slipping away.
