getting started within ten days, at least before the
first of the year light breeze from the E. Cloudy.

Maurer & Galle to their traps. No luck but a few tracks seen.
Crawford busy putting sled raft x over the house frame. Myself
at various necessary duties. Light breeze from East Cloudy

Maurer & Galle to their traps. Galle caught nothing and said no
fresh tracks. Maurer also caught nothing and saw no fresh
tracks. I placed snow blocks on the North end of the house
and Crawford about half completed the East side. Very thick
and cloudy. Warm & calm. Feeding dogs on seal skin & blubber.

Maurer & Galle to their traps. No luck, but numerous tracks
seen. Crawford busy putting snow blocks on the roof. I felt a
little under the weather, so did nothing but feed the dogs.
Fresh breeze from the N.E. Cloudy, warm and snowing.

Crawford, Maurer & Galle nearly finished putting blocks on
the roof. I still felt bad today (indegestion, I think) so
did nothing. Variable breezes. Clear.

and some of our stuff which had been left on
