Blowing a light gale all day from the East and drifting. Clear.
General duties.

Maurer went to a few of his traps nearby and caught nothing
but several of his traps had been disturbed. Cut wood and
general duties. Light gale from the East. Clear and slightly drifting

Maurer and Galle to their traps. Galle saw tracks of a
small bear on the beach about a mile East of the camp. The bear came
off the ice to the beach, then onto the ice again and went to sea -
Galle saw several fox tracks but caught nothing. Maurer also
saw several fox tracks but caught nothing. Maurer put out
4 more traps today. Crawford and I hauled two loads of
wood and found the snow soft and hauling difficult.
The woman is busy making clothing for Crawford and I.
I am feeding the dogs blubber and dried seal skin.
Clear & cold. Light breeze from the East.

Galle and Maurer to their traps. They each saw several fresh tracks
but caught nothting. Crawford and I hauled two large loads of
wood. Light breeze from the East. Clear.

Galle and Maurer to their traps. Nothing caught but numerous tracks seen.
Crawford and I busy about camp. Blowing a strong breeze from the East.
Cloudy and a slight drift. The woman is doing wonderful work and is
a great deal more accomodating than a year ago (which see).
