Maurer & I, with the dogs went to the other
camp this morning, hauling an enormous
log, which we picked up to the camp.

We hauled a large load of wood from the
Eastward over very bad going. Then we went
West for about a mile and picked up some
logs which Maurer & Crawford had cut some
time previously. Cooked dog feed outside.
Cloudy. Light breeze from the North.

Maurer & I hauled one large load of wood
from the East. The dogs are weak from the lack
of proper food and it is all that we can do
to get them to get home with one load. Note.
Last night Crawford came from the trapping camp
as he was out hunting for bears. As the trappers
have been at their camp for a month and have
only caught one fox and as the wood is so very
hard to haul we think that the best thing to do
is for every one to live at the main camp un
until the trapping gets better. We have all de-
cided that this plan is the best. Crawford re
turned to the main camp after having something
