Dear Mr. Stefansson,
I enclose copy of Trial Balance as at 31st
August, also statement of operations to that date,
copy of Auditor's Report to 30th June, 1922, and List
of Shareholders to date.
The statements explain themselves, but if
there is anything on which you want further informa-
tion, I shall be glad to give it to you.
You will notice the Bank Balance is now
$2,202.03 in our favour. The following waswere the de-
posits:
V. Stefansson ... ... $ 1,000.00
Sir Edmund Walker ... 500.00
Dept. of Interior ... 3,000.00
Out of this money $1,500.00 was telegraphed
to Lomen Bros., Nome, being advance payment on "Teddy
Bear", and a cheque for $500.00 was mailed to the Min-
ers and Merchants Bank at Nome for deposit to Ada Black-
jack's account, being salary outstanding to 31st August.
There was also deposited to Mrs. Maurer's account $200.
being balance of Mr. Maurer's salary to 31st August.
The only other salary outstanding is A. R.
Crawford, which amounts to $550.00
In view of a further $2,000.00 having to be
paid for charter of "Teddy Bear", as outlined in your
