which he based the typed diary which
he mentions and which Ada Blackjack
has described. The last lines show how the
news of the proposed trip to Nome first
came to Galle. Transcribed, the lines are:
"On way back K(night) tells me that
they [ K(night) and C(rawford) ] were
probably going to Nome next spring.
Does not say why. Tells me will
need lots money. Asks if I have any.
Will loan all [I have]." This entry
