you spend several days - perhaps
a week end - with us if you can
arrange to do so. I hope you can
and will.

I don't believe you will have
to wait much longer for the decisions
about the expedition to be made,
and I think they will be just
about as you wish them. Your
present contracts are not so
binding that you cannot get your
release for something you
desire more.

If you do not lead the
expedition, I will not go. Without
you, failure can be expected.
Whether you take charge or not will
be largely "up to you". Your present
plan of not going North yourself
this year can be changed without
much difficulty.

If this letter does not reach
you so that I shall receive a
reply before you are in Cleveland
I will write to you there at the
address you have given me.

We want you to come.
Ruth Maurer

P.S. - Our home
address is 819 - 14th St. N.W.
Let us know when you will
arrive and someone will meet you. - R.M.
