British Expedition disturbs Russian
Soviet Government.

Moscow, Aug 28. - (The first paragraph

Note handed by [Tehitcheria] to British
agency protesting the claiming of the
Island. Regards Wrangell as an integral
part of the Union of Socialist Soviet
Republic. etc. -

The expedition headed by Allen Crawford,
a British subject of Toronto, accompanied
by Lorne Knight, Fred Maurer, and Milton
Galle
, three Americans which set out for
Wrangell, in Aug 1921, vanished;
and Mr. Stefansson, who dispatched the
Crawford expedition to hoist the British
flag, and claim the Island, has sent out
a relief expedition under Harold Noice
also an American, to find the Crawford
and his companions.

Noice has not been heard of since Aug.
9, when he was off Point Hope, Alaska.
