Dear Sir,

Having not heard from you for some
time I am just wondering whether you
have made any use of pictures I
sent you.

I had a fine letter from Mr. J.
Knight last fall, also some pictures
of his garden. He told me that your
book has just been out of press at that
time, and promised to send me a copy.
I am very much obliged to him for that.

Sometime ago, I had also a letter
from Mr. Mitchell, a gentelman corespon-
dent I wrote you about in one of my
letters. He told me he has given to you
some of my pictures, and the remainder
sent back to me.
