Dear Taylor:

I wired you today "Hold thousand
[awa]iting letts regards to you from Wrights".
The "regards" was a concise translation of their
conversation about you in which they sympathise
with you as against Brewer, thinking him in
the wrong and too violent - wrong, except the feel
you should have refunded the eight hundred
odd Canadian dollars that were returned by
Noice.

My understanding in England was that
insofar as the public subscription in England
fell short of the total advanced against it
by Brewer it would be a loan to our
Company. I believe Brewer advanced about
₤2250. and that the subscriptions amounted
to 1785 (of which about ₤200. was subscribed by
Brewer himself). According to my understanding
our Company still owes Brewer about ₤465.
Can't you, without committing yourself or any
of the issues of your correspondance with Brewer,
mail him the eight hundred odd dollars, saying
it is the
unexpended
balance
of
of his loan to the company
