Dear Stefansson:-

Attached please find a clipping from the
Toronto Telegram of the 21st with regard to Wrangel Island.
You have had this information before, but I thought you
might like to see it in its present form.

I am also enclosing a copy of a letter re-
ceived from Mr. Brewer and my answer. I am exceedingly
sorry to have to write to Mr. Brewer in this strain, but
there seems to he no limit to the persistence of his charge
against me, of which you know I am entirely innocent. There
is also a very grave doubt of my retaining either the friend-
ship or respect of Mr. Orville Wright to whom Mr. Brewer has
been sending copies of his letters to me. The whole thing
is very unjust, and 1 hope you will find time to write and
tell Mr. Brewer that the fault is not mine, and that he has
gone too far in his correspondence with me.
