Noticed Saturday's installment Wrangel story statement
reflecting seriously Knight's general intelligence feel sure his parents
will be angered am anxious that story shall not produce bad impression
in Toronto but have refused see it before publication since that would
lay me open to suspicion of having tampered with it stop I urge you
proofread carefully and soften similar harsh statements about intelligence
or capacity men who are dead stop negotiations with Pickering apparently
progressing staisfactorily except but he says Noices attitude still
doubtful have been unable to see Noice since first day he refuses answer
telephones or reply letters or telegrams from myself or friends of his
whom he knows are friends of mine also this explains further my refusal
