OTTAWA, April 9. - A decision as
[to] declaration of British sovereignty
over Wrangell Island in the Arctic
ocean may not be reached for some
time, but in any case it will take the
form of joint action on the part of
the British and the Dominion Gov-
ernments.

A sub-committee of the Federal cab-
inet, consisting of the Prime Minister,
Hon. W. S. Fielding, Hon. George P.
Graham, Hon. Charles Stewart, Hon.
J. H. King, [...] A. B. Copp, and Hon.
D. D. McKenzie, on Saturday, received
representations on the question made
to them personally by Vilhjalmur
Stefansson, the Canadian explorer.
