Dear Stefansson:-

Attached you will find copies of correspondence exchanged between Mr.Anderson and myself and the Department of the Interior, Ottawa, all of which will explain itself.

I have no report from Bernard that I could send, and I understood, in fact, asked him to give you a complete written report not only of what happened last year, but what he suggested be done this year. I have had no word from anyone on this subject since I saw Bernard in New York nearly two months ago.

I am very sorry at the delays in getting this information to Mr.Finnie, but the all too prevalent "flu" has been laying low members of our staff one after the other, myself included, so that it has been impossible for me to go to Ottawa as I intended to do when I last wrote you.

I have to go the Coast, leaving here next Tuesday and wont be back until after the 5th of April, but then I hope to be here for the rest of the year.
