primary purpose will be the maintenance of the Canadian title to
islands north of Labrador and facing Greenland across Davis straits.
The islands are already Canadian but the expedition by actual
occupatation will set at rest any doubt as to Canadian title.

The expedition is expected to be absent until the fall.

A similar expedition was planned last year but it did not
proceed.
